In recent years, AI tools have been introduced into the condo document review industry. While we believe AI has its place, we do not believe a full condo document review should be handled solely by AI. After testing several of these platforms, we found errors in every report generated by these AI tools. The main errors we found were incomplete bylaw reviews and wrong financial number outputs. Although AI reviews may appear cheaper at first glance, in reality, they often cost just as much or even more. The base price typically covers only a basic review, and if you want an “expert” opinion or additional detail, you have to pay extra. At that point, we think it makes more sense to work with a professional from the start, as they are able to take the complexity of the condo corporation and connect the dots. Another note is that if you pay an expert to review your AI-generated report, that expert was not the one who dove into the documents and got to really understand them, AI did. So how can someone explain a report to you that they did not actually review?

Condo document reviews require connecting numerous details that AI cannot capture. AI may be new and exciting, but it still has clear limitations.
